Dilemma is the drum and bass project of Piper Hewitt-Dudding, whose early releases established a connection with liquid drum and bass. Emerging in 2016, she released through Skankandbass, Hospital Records, and Soulvent, collaborating with Ownglow on Mercy and Robert Manos on Gone Too Soon.
After the 2020 Exit Stage Left EP, she stepped away from releasing music. Rediscovering ideas on an old hard drive helped her find a way back to production, while a move from Brighton to Leeds brought a renewed need for musical community. Collaboration became central to her return.
That return took shape on A River Without Banks, her debut album, released by Spearhead in August 2026. Its guests include Random Movement, In:Most, Lauren Archer, Tim Reaper, and BCee. Dilemma has described the record as a shared effort, with BCee’s encouragement connecting her early experiences in the scene to the album’s eventual home.
