Hailing from the United States, Diode has steadily built a reputation for precision-engineered drum and bass with a dark, uncompromising edge. Blending the raw power of techstep and the complexity of neurofunk, his sound is marked by saturated drums, deep atmospheres, and relentless energy. Since emerging on the scene in the early 2000s, Diode has released on labels such as Darkland Audio, Future Sickness, Mindsaw, and now VTO Records, carving out a space for his unique take on forward-thinking bass music.
His return to the spotlight with the Radial EP follows a strong contribution to the Cells Interlinked Vol. 2 compilation, and marks a clear evolution in both production and intent. A longtime contributor to the underground US scene, Diode’s music is shaped by years of refinement and an ethos rooted in the rawer corners of the genre. Whether through cinematic intros or explosive drops, his tracks are crafted with the dancefloor firmly in mind. As his catalogue grows, Diode continues to assert himself as a vital force in the new wave of global drum and bass.
