Gunston's roots lie in the French Riviera's clubs, free parties, and radio. Active as a DJ from 1997, he held a residency at Cannes' Sun 7 club and presented Rewind on Agora FM between 1999 and 2004. He joined the Panda 06 collective in 2000 and began producing his own music in 2004.
His recorded work has become closely connected with Hyperactivity Music. When the Marseille label was preparing its launch in December 2016, Gunston was the first artist revealed. The relationship subsequently produced releases including Unit / Bloodclaat and Boy Better Run. The latter includes Miami Jungle.
Other producers have revisited his material: Zero T remixed Thing Changes for Hyperactivity, while Quadrant & Iris reworked Stay Real for Weapons of Choice Recordings' 2021 remix EP. Gunston has also stepped outside drum and bass, producing Golden with vocalist Wapi in 2020. His connection with Hyperactivity continued with Protect, released on 8 May 2026.
