Jappa

Jappa is a rising force in the UK drum and bass scene, known for his high-octane DJ sets and razor-sharp productions that fuse modern energy with classic rave sensibilities. Hailing from Watford, he is a core member of the OCC (Outbreak Collective), alongside Teej, Objectiv, Lupo, and Trakker. Together, they have built a grassroots movement focused on collaboration, mutual support, and forward-thinking bass music.

With appearances at Glastonbury, Illusive Festival, Fabric London, XOYO, and Tobacco Dock, Jappa has proven himself a festival favourite and club killer in equal measure. His style combines steppy drums, powerful Reese basslines, and melodic flourishes that reflect both his technical precision and deep love for the genre.

Whether crafting bootlegs that flip classics on their head or releasing certified rollers on labels like Born On Road and Playaz, Jappa continues to push boundaries. His debut on Playaz with DJ Hype marks a milestone in a journey that shows no sign of slowing down.
