Zoro is a Bristol producer and DJ who came through jungle and drum and bass, before exploring a wider range of tempos. His early music circulated through bootlegs and mixes, giving people a way into the project before a substantial original release arrived.
In a 2020 interview, he recalled growing up around his mother and her friends sharing songs. DJing offered a bigger version of that same pleasure, with the added excitement of seeing people respond to something he had made himself. His What You Talking About bootleg spread during the 2019 festival season, bringing his music to larger crowds.
The Light It Up EP followed on Born On Road in 2020. Later releases include Badness and Higher Pressure, while Break remixed Badness in 2025. Those records give the original catalogue a clearer identity alongside the bootlegs that first circulated his name.
His interest in garage and dubstep was already there when he spoke about future plans in that early interview. More recent promoter material describes a project that now works across those sounds as well as drum and bass. His D&B sets have taken in jungle, rollers, and jump-up, while those other interests give him plenty to explore away from the faster tempos.
