Kelvin 373

Kelvin 373 is a DJ, producer, and co-founder of Born on Road, whose background runs through Britain’s free party and sound system culture. Growing up with parents involved in travelling and free parties, he heard reggae and rave music before beginning his own career as a selector.

He developed as a DJ at free parties and festivals in the UK and Europe, then spent time in Spain. In Granada, he helped promote a monthly dubstep and drum and bass event, bringing visiting artists into the local club circuit. He returned to Bristol in 2010 and continued building his DJ work.

Production followed through working with Aries and Stivs. Kelvin and Aries established Born On Road in 2013, initially creating a home for their own music and that of friends. He has described ragga jungle and vocal music as central influences, while emphasising that the label’s remit is broader than any one subgenre.

His own recorded work includes Dubplate Massive with Aries and Navigator. Alongside those studio collaborations, his account of the label’s development stresses practical support for other artists, connecting releases, promotion, and bookings rather than treating them as separate parts of a career.
