About Kolectiv.
Kolectiv are a drum and bass duo from London with releases on Dispatch, Flexout Audio, CIA, and Metalheadz. Their work brings together technical and minimal elements, soulful textures, and experiments with halftime rhythms.
The Damocles EP marked their Metalheadz debut in 2025. They followed it with the two-part Black Light Project, a six-track collection issued through the label. Its second instalment includes Music That We Feel, The Rhythm (Trace It Back), and the digital bonus track Black Light.
Metalheadz’s release notes give those tracks distinct reference points. Music That We Feel takes inspiration from Saturn Storm’s Let’s Get Together and its hardcore energy, while The Rhythm (Trace It Back) makes a direct reference to the label’s own sound. Black Light is described as a modern roller. Alongside their releases, Kolectiv share the Structure mix series through their own channel, with regular editions documented across 2023 and 2024.
