Behind the music
About Kumarachi.
Kumarachi is a Nottingham producer and DJ whose music connects jungle with drum and bass. His releases have appeared on Critical Music, Deep In The Jungle, Audio Addict, and Dispatch Recordings, with solo records alongside collaborative releases.
Critical presented his four-track Binary Vol.15 in December 2017, bringing together NG, Back To You, Dusk, and Someone. The label introduced the release through its old-school jungle approach, a thread also reflected in Kumarachi’s own description of his music.
His Seek Emotion EP marked his first Dispatch release as lead artist in 2025, following work with NC-17 on the Most Violent Year series and Dispatch Blueprints. Written over several years, the EP pairs solo productions with tracks made alongside RMS, Ant TC1, NC-17, and Madrush MC. The sessions combined software with analogue equipment, external effects, and an analogue desk.
