Behind the music
About NCT.
NCT are a Dutch drum and bass duo with a long association with Liquicity. Jeroen’s production background and Alex’s work as a DJ underpin a partnership whose music and performances focus on melody, vocals, and an energetic connection with the dancefloor.
Their early profile developed through Liquicity and Liquid Tones releases in the 2010s. A debut album, Astrophysical, became a substantial project for the duo on Liquicity, followed by the remix collection RE:ASTROPHYSICAL.
Their musical reference points extend beyond drum and bass. Jeroen names Michael Jackson, The Police, and Netsky among his initial inspirations, while Alex describes the importance of his father’s musical influence. That openness also informs the variety of selections in their DJ sets.
They have also recorded outside their core Liquicity catalogue, including Rockstar Bass with ShockOne and Scrufizzer on Monstercat.
