T & Sugah are Dutch drum and bass duo Robin and Philippe, whose friendship began in kindergarten. A punk band at school eventually led them towards Pendulum, and hearing Blood Sugar gave them the push to start producing and DJing together.
The name came from a cup of tea in Philippe’s parents’ attic while they were trying to upload their first song. The joke lasted: High Tea Music, their record label and events brand, became another part of their work, with parties and releases supporting other artists alongside their own music.
Their first album, Sky, brought together the melodic and energetic side of that catalogue. On Stardust, a collaboration with NCT and Miyoki, they put particular value on the writing and shared story behind the track. Speaking to LoveThatBass, they explained that making the song connect had become more important to them than chasing the most technically elaborate production.
Their roles have developed over time, with Robin leaning towards production and Philippe towards DJing, while regular studio sessions keep the writing collaborative. Since Danger in 2023, they have pushed towards heavier, melodic jump-up. Call the Police, made with Takura in 2026, captures that change, while their earlier liquid records remain part of the same partnership.
