Drum & Bass Artist Profile, Discography & Events

Quentin Hiatus Drum and Bass Artist Image

Quentin Hiatus came into drum and bass from an enthusiasm for UK hard house and hardcore. The American producer and DJ told UKF that meeting Arizona selector Dave Summers opened up another musical world, introducing him to artists including Total Science, Digital, and Spirit.

Free Love Digi grew from his wish to share finished tracks freely in 2010. The label became an outlet for his own music and a circle of collaborators, including Thomas B, Sinistarr, Dominic Ridgway, and Stunna. It allowed him to complete a track, arrange artwork, and release it without a lengthy approval process.

His I’m Neither Quentin Nor Hiatus series captures that independent approach. In the same UKF interview, he described making the second instalment during lunch breaks in his car, fitting production around work and family.

His later catalogue includes Royal Notes Mixtape, issued by 1 More Thing in 2025, and Style Points EP on Onset Audio that year. Onset described the latter’s three tracks as stripped-back, off-kilter drum and bass, with explicit minimal and halftime associations.
