Disaszt began Mainframe as a Vienna events brand in 2002, adding Mainframe Recordings in 2008. The label gave Austrian producers an outlet around that club community, releasing early work from Camo & Krooked, Fourward, and Dossa & Locuzzed.
Mainframe 100 marked its 100th release and first decade, with returning contributors alongside newer artists. Disaszt’s own 2011 album Shadow & Lightning is also part of the catalogue.
The music follows several directions. DubApe’s Unstoppable EP includes minimal and neurofunk material, while Tapolsky & VovKING’s Hyperid combines jump-up and neurofunk. Disaszt has continued to connect developing local producers with international artists through Mainframe’s records and events.
