A.M.C is British drum and bass DJ and producer Alex Mark Calvert. His reputation centres on technically demanding DJ sets, but his own productions and Titan Records imprint are equally useful starting points for understanding the music behind those performances.
His debut album, ENERGY, was released in September 2019. It brings together tracks including Mind The Gap, Look Out, and Instigator, with tightly programmed drums and bass designed for the dancefloor. VOID LP followed in 2021, extending a catalogue that also includes collaborations with Turno. These are production credits as well as evidence of his role as a selector.
Discussing ENERGY with EDM.com in 2020, Calvert explained the reasoning behind its gradual release. The first sampler arrived in March, with further singles appearing before the full album in September. Rather than releasing everything at once, he wanted individual tracks to receive attention and support. That patient approach offers a different perspective on an artist often encountered through the immediate intensity of his sets: the album was developed and introduced over months, with care given to how listeners would discover each piece.
