PRSPCT Recordings brings together hardcore, breakcore, industrial music, and drum and bass at their heavier extremes. Thrasher founded the Rotterdam label and event series in 2002, carrying a background in DIY hardcore punk into electronic music. The records and parties grew from the same appetite for hard sounds rather than a commitment to one genre.
That breadth is clear in a catalogue which includes Coco Bryce’s Our Darkness EP, CODE:RED’s Shot Caller EP, and Kilbourne’s Hardcore is a Feeling EP. Drum and bass is part of the picture, alongside styles that sit well outside it. Thrasher’s work with RVLT artist bookings extends the label’s live connections, with PRSPCT nights giving the music a setting beyond the records.
