Lee UHF & Noise Souls – Bad Thoughts [Dirtbox Recordings] | DnBUK Premiere

Halloween is the setting for Dirtbox Recordings’ Killers Of DNB Vol. 1 Sampler, a four-track selection with Lee UHF and Noise Souls providing our SoundCloud premiere, Bad Thoughts.

The collaboration sits alongside CrucifyMe’s Runaway, NRV and Coppa’s Culture, and TheLena’s Shut The F Up. Carrying catalogue number DRTBX096, the sampler introduces the label’s Killers Of DNB project with a suitably sinister visual identity: its artwork gathers a cast of horror characters in a moonlit graveyard.

Bad Thoughts takes that Halloween mood into the music. Screeching synths open the track, while eerie layers build the impression of a distant orchestra. There is plenty of atmosphere in the opening, but the drop changes the scale of things, stripping the arrangement back around a tight drum break.

A breath-like sound punctuates the rhythm, its cavernous echo suggesting a large, empty tunnel. Beneath it, meaty, rounded bass keeps the track moving, with sharper spikes emerging as it develops. That shift from the orchestral opening to something more sparse and enclosed gives the collaboration its unsettling character, fitting neatly into the sampler’s Halloween theme.

Our SoundCloud premiere goes live at 1pm GMT on 27 October 2026. Find the player below, with the sampler’s buy and listen link alongside it.
