Noise Souls – Sequence V11 (Por Una Cabeza) (Dirtbox Recordings)

Drum & Bass UK premieres Sequence V11 (Por Una Cabeza), a striking reinterpretation from Noise Souls’ debut album Sequence, forthcoming on Dirtbox Recordings.

Taking its starting point from the famous tango composition, the track brings its familiar melodic pull into a different setting. Wide, almost trance-like synths rebuild the theme with patience, allowing the arrangement to gather scale before the rhythm takes over.

The drop is firmly drum-led: crisp, weighty breaks push through buzzy bass textures, while brief fragments of the tango motif surface between the pressure. Noise Souls does not lean on recognition alone, instead using the source material as a thread running through a focused, contemporary D&B record.

Sequence brings together the 12 tracks from Dirtbox Recordings’ Tape Pack Series, which delivered one new Noise Souls release on the first day of each month across a year. The album lands digitally on Beatport and Spotify on 28 August, followed by its worldwide digital, vinyl and CD release on 11 September.
