It’s Alright, I Feel It

DJ Marky, Makoto & Vanessa Freeman

DJ Marky and Makoto join Vanessa Freeman on a soulful Hospital Records roller full of crisp drums, piano warmth, and rolling sub movement.

Hospital Records Released 29 May 2026

It’s Alright, I Feel It opens exactly where it should: crisp drums, a bright piano line, and Vanessa Freeman’s vocal sitting right at the front without being overworked. There is a natural warmth to the intro, but it still keeps enough pace underneath to make the move into drum and bass feel completely unforced.

The build is handled with real care. The piano stays central, giving the track its emotional lift, while the vocal gradually opens the tune out before the drop brings in those rolling subs and layered drums. Nothing feels rushed. Marky and Makoto let the soul of the original breathe, then build the drum and bass framework around it rather than flattening it into a straight dancefloor cover.

Once the tune settles, the groove does a lot of the work. The bassline rolls cleanly without taking over, the drums have that polished Hospital snap, and the strings add size underneath without pushing the arrangement into obvious hands-in-the-air territory too early. It is euphoric, but not cheaply so.

Vanessa Freeman’s vocal is the anchor throughout. There is enough power there to carry the bigger moments, but the delivery still feels soulful and human rather than overly polished. That makes the tune feel less like a functional festival version and more like something built with proper respect for the source material.

Released through Hospital Records, It’s Alright, I Feel It brings DJ Marky and Makoto together in a way that makes complete musical sense: rhythm, soul, movement, and a clean rolling finish that should work just as well on radio as it does in a summer set.
