Chances introduces NYTEBYTE, the collaborative project bringing Zombie Cats together with London-based DJ and producer NATT. It also opens the release schedule for 9ine Lives, the new label launched by Zombie Cats as a home for their next phase of releases and collaborations. The single arrives in two forms: a Dancefloor Mix and a Just For You London Jungle Mix, each taking the same material towards a different setting.

The jungle version is the more revealing of the two. It translates comfortably to a higher-BPM framework, but does not pull the track so far apart that its original feeling disappears. That restraint matters. Rather than treating the remix as an excuse for a wholesale reinvention, NYTEBYTE keeps a clear connection between the versions and lets the new rhythmic context do the work.

Space is used particularly well throughout the Just For You London Jungle Mix. The arrangement avoids becoming overcrowded, allowing the bass to wobble with real presence while the track retains its shape. There is movement in the low end, but it never overwhelms the groove or turns the mix into something more abrasive than it needs to be.

That approach gives the release a useful duality. The Dancefloor Mix establishes the primary version of Chances, while the jungle interpretation offers a second route without feeling like an afterthought. It is a compact way to introduce NYTEBYTE and 9ine Lives at the same time, with the remix doing more than simply extending the tracklist.

For a debut release under a new label banner, Chances leaves room for the project’s identity to develop. The jungle mix, in particular, shows how easily the material can shift pace while maintaining the pull of the original.
