Bl4ck Owlz is a French neurofunk project associated with the producer Vik. Originally a duo, it was already operating as his solo project by the time Mainframe Recordings introduced Get Da Funk! at the end of 2017.
The project’s earlier releases included Fake on Invisible Recordings in 2016, with the label linking directly to its official accounts. Mainframe’s introduction also placed releases on Audioporn, Eatbrain, and Evol Intent in the project’s history.
In 2019, Blackout Music released the four-track Call To Mind EP. The label presented it as a project about consciously ignoring events in the wider world. Alongside the title track, its sequence includes DAT ONE, Alternating Current, and L.E.N.
