Born in Australia, Plank relocated to the UK, where she attended the Notting Hill Academy of Music. Her musical journey began during the lockdown period, recording lo-fi demos in her childhood bedroom. These early explorations laid the foundation for her unique sound, characterised by emotive vocals and genre-blurring productions.
Plank's breakthrough came with the self-release of her single "Hate Me" in May 2022, a track that candidly delves into themes of self-worth and personal relationships. The song's raw honesty and innovative fusion of styles garnered attention, leading to her signing with Black Butter Records, who re-released the single in August 2022. Subsequent releases, including "Lost Boys" and "L.S.D. (Love So Damaged)", have further showcased her ability to tackle complex emotional narratives within the framework of dance music.
In April 2023, Plank collaborated with Rudimental and Vibe Chemistry on the single "Dancing Is Healing", which achieved notable chart success, peaking at number 5 on the UK Singles Chart. This collaboration not only highlighted her versatility as an artist but also solidified her presence in the mainstream music landscape. :contentReference[oaicite:3]{index=3}
