About Deep Notion.
Deep Notion are the New Zealand drum and bass duo of Adam Cooper and Christian Samonte-Martin. Their releases span Viper Recordings, Invicta Audio, Elevate, DARKMTTR, and High Tea Music, with a catalogue that pairs their own productions with collaborations.
On Serotone's No Mercy EP in 2020, they delivered four tracks that the label described as rolling and varied in character. Their later partnership with fellow New Zealand producer TREi included Everything I Want on Viper's Future Fire Vol. 4 in May 2024, followed by Nobody But You, which also featured on Viper's 20th-anniversary compilation.
Further collaborations included On Top with T-Lex and Turn Up The Bass with Bish. In a UKF selection, producer Lexed singled out the Crucast release Brock Out as a jump-up roller, reflecting one distinct strand of the duo's output.
Their DJ work has taken them across New Zealand and Australia, as well as to Let It Roll. Radio has formed another part of their activity: they shared a BBC Radio 1 drum and bass mix in 2025, alongside a run of releases that continued with No Rest For The Wicked through High Tea Music in 2026.
