DJ Chap came into drum and bass through parties in São Paulo, Brazil, beginning to DJ and produce in 2004–05. He told V Recordings that he was drawn to both harmonic and heavy music, with interests extending from Amen breaks and groove to darker, deeper beats.
His friendship with Andrezz grew out of those same parties. Working together in the studio, they developed a partnership that brought their ideas to Liquid V and V Recordings. Chap's solo releases include Inna Streets, while their shared catalogue includes Back EP and Hydra EP, the latter released through Prestige Music in 2016.
Another partnership took shape with Level 2 as Alibi. The duo signed exclusively to V Recordings at the end of 2015 and went on to release the album Said & Done, featuring artists including DRS, Serum, Riya, and L-Side.
