About Dunk.
Dunk is João Neto, a drum and bass producer from São Paulo who previously made music as one half of Jam Thieves. Going solo gave him the freedom to pursue his own ideas, while retaining the bass-heavy approach he had developed in the duo.
His Innerground Records catalogue runs from Fake Love on Innerground 100 to Moon Rocks / Nightcrawler and 2025’s Nightmare. Minimal production remains central to his work, drawing on influences including rap, hip-hop, and techno.
In his 2025 interview with Drum and Bass UK, Dunk described a disciplined studio routine and the value of feedback from DJ Marky. He also discussed Minimalyst, a separate techno project that reflects an influence running through his drum and bass.
