Fireworks Factory is a Bristol-based drum and bass artist known for blending emotional storytelling with explosive energy. An openly LGBTQ producer, his music fuses elements of tech, jump-up, dancefloor and rollers, creating a sound that is as powerful on the floor as it is personal in intent. His latest release — the double single Breaking Gemstones / Can’t Stand The Rain — arrives via 1 More Thing during Pride Month, making a bold statement both musically and culturally.
Before signing to 1 More Thing, Fireworks Factory debuted with the track Heat Mirage, showcasing an early glimpse of the vibrant, cinematic style that defines his current sound. His breakthrough came in late 2024, when he won the 1 More Thing Mixmas DJ competition. Initially awarded an interview, a feature mix, and a live slot, the win quickly evolved into a deeper collaboration after it emerged that several standout tracks in his mix were his own unreleased productions.
Recognising his potential, 1 More Thing founder Dave Columbo offered Fireworks Factory an official label release, setting the stage for a striking entrance into the wider drum and bass scene. With a background as an experimental singer-songwriter, his work is driven by fusion, emotion, and a desire to tell meaningful stories at powerful tempos. These values now underpin a sharply honed production identity that has been years in the making.
As Fireworks Factory steps into the spotlight, he brings a distinct voice to the genre — one that champions authenticity, celebrates diversity, and isn’t afraid to make a statement. With label support, growing recognition, and a sound built for impact, he’s a name to watch closely.
