Behind the music

About Invadhertz.

Invadhertz are Francesco Malvaso and Alessandro D’addario Fernandez, an Italian duo based in London. Their drum and bass combines deep bass, rolling drums, and a melodic warmth that has taken them across several different labels.

The project began in Rome as an electronic music and visual collective. Francesco and Alessandro met while studying sound design at university, became friends, and started making music together. Massimo, who handled the visuals, stayed until around 2018 or 2019, after which Invadhertz continued as a production duo.

Their records have appeared on Flexout Audio, Dispatch Recordings, Shogun Audio, and Soulvent Records. Soulvent’s Cold Shoulder EP documents the soulful side of their sound, while the duo’s own catalogue also makes room for darker and more stripped-back material.

In a 2025 interview with All Crews, Francesco explained that Invadhertz had originally been intended as a multi-genre project. Drum and bass became its main focus, but Noir, released on 4NCY in 2021, explored halftime. The idea of working beyond one genre remained alive, with both producers continuing to develop other styles alongside their shared D&B releases.
