Revan is a Bristol drum and bass and dance music artist, and one half of Ill Truth. His solo work developed a deeper, more minimal direction alongside the duo, with releases including No Royalties on Flexout Audio and Wild Style on Subtitles Music.
DJing was his route into drum and bass before production became part of his work. Flexout introduced his solo work through its deeper, more restrained sound. Releases for Lockdown Recordings and Sofa Sound Bristol sit within that early solo catalogue.
Revan also works professionally with other artists’ audio. He owns Height Sonics, where he is a mixing and mastering engineer, working on other artists’ releases as well as his own. In 2023 he discussed the creative process and his cross-tempo release Imaginary Work with 1 More Thing. Issued by Flexout, the project explored different tempos and genres, extending the solo identity beyond a single form of drum and bass.
