Behind the music
About Pixel.
Pixel, the moniker of James Shuttleworth from Oswestry, Shropshire, UK, is a drum and bass producer and DJ renowned for his deep, soulful soundscapes. His journey into the genre was sparked in 1997 by Roni Size and Reprazent's Brown Paper Bag, igniting a passion that led him to start producing music in 2000.
Over the years, Pixel has developed a distinctive style characterised by melodic hooks, intricate drum patterns, and heavy basslines. His dedication to the deeper, more soulful side of drum and bass has earned him recognition within the electronic music community.
