PRAGON is the drum and bass project of Dmitry Komin, a producer and beatmaker based in Kirov, Russia. He developed an interest in music during childhood and taught himself to play guitar and accordion. That early experience gave him a grounding in melody and rhythm before he began producing with FL Studio in 2013.
Working initially under the D.Komin name, Dmitry concentrated on house music and entered remix competitions on PromoDJ. He later began shifting his attention towards drum and bass, developing a sound built around dynamic basslines, energetic arrangements, and the melodic instincts carried over from his earlier work.
PRAGON gives Dmitry a dedicated outlet for that heavier, faster direction. Following releases including work with DEEPNAS, his The Journey EP on Dirtbox Recordings brings together three approaches to his sound across Rhythmic Push, Valley Ascent, and Alarm Street.
