T.R.A.C. is a Brooklyn MC and vocalist whose name stands for To Rule And Conquer. His music brings hip-hop writing into soul and drum and bass, carrying the voice and the story across tempos rather than treating the faster tracks as a separate career.
His debut solo album, The Network, appeared in 2011 through BBE Records and Omniverse. Life in Motion followed on V Recordings in 2017, bringing liquid drum and bass into that wider musical background. His collaborators include Marc Mac, Lenzman, Calibre, and Bladerunner.
In 2021, Sonically Speaking with Maverick Soul launched T.R.A.C.’s own Ample Aptitude imprint. The pair brought their shared hip-hop roots and drum and bass experience into an album, with Maverick Soul’s musicianship giving the songs another dimension. It was a project they wanted to release on their own terms.
T.R.A.C. described the label to UKF as a space for music around drum and bass’s edges that still made sense within its culture. His experience behind the scenes in hip-hop helped shape that ambition.
