ZeroZero are Sam and Jesse, a drum and bass partnership that began when they met at university in Amsterdam. Both already had releases behind them, and near-identical record collections gave them a starting point for making music together. An evening spent chopping samples and breaks became the beginning of the duo.
Groove is central to their approach. Speaking to UKF, they described Tracker as a stripped-back expression of their sound, built around funky drums and a rolling break rather than a succession of drops and build-ups. Their Sofa Sound material also included Blud with Brain and Gobi with Linja, whose contribution centred on sampling.
Their releases have appeared on Dispatch, C.I.A., Flexout, Spearhead, and Sofa Sound. The 2025 Sand Cave EP brought them back to C.I.A. Their other releases include the Peanut Butter EP and Soundboy / Freedom Sound. The pair have also made production resources available, including drum and bass samples, jungle breaks, and Serum presets.
