Founded in London in 2004, New State Music is a record company working across electronic music and a family of labels. Its artists include The Beloved and Zero 7, while Congo Natty, Benny Page, and Drumsound & Bassline Smith connect it with jungle and drum and bass.
Congo Natty’s album Ancestorz (Rootz of Jungle) is part of that side of the catalogue. Remastered editions of Code Red and Junglist have also brought earlier jungle recordings back into circulation, placing archive releases alongside the company’s wider electronic output.
