Frosper is a drum and bass producer and DJ based in Seattle, known for his experimental sound design and deep-rooted community involvement. With a distinctive style that fuses jazz, chaos, and raw urban energy, Frosper continues to push the boundaries of the genre. His collaborative track Godzilla Jazz with Tweedlex stands as a powerful statement of this vision—melding intricate breakbeats with cinematic soundscapes and dissonant textures to create something uniquely volatile and compelling.
Beyond his production work, Frosper is a vital presence in the Seattle drum and bass scene. He plays a central role in DNB Tuesdays, the longest-running weekly drum and bass event in the United States. The night has become a cornerstone for the local community, offering a platform for both emerging and established talent and showcasing the full spectrum of drum and bass sounds.
Frosper's contributions to DNB Tuesdays reflect a strong commitment to cultivating a healthy grassroots culture within the genre. His curation and performances embody a passion for music that is inclusive, experimental, and deeply engaged with its audience. By supporting local artists and building consistent spaces for live music, he has helped solidify Seattle’s reputation as a key hub for DnB in North America.
Musically, Frosper’s work often embraces unpredictability, favouring dense rhythms, off-kilter sampling, and genre-bending motifs. His releases highlight an appreciation for jazz, noise, and sonic contrast, and his collaborative ethos speaks to a broader goal of challenging the norms of conventional drum and bass. Whether on stage or in the studio, Frosper continues to elevate the conversation around what the genre can be.
