Logam is an Atlanta drum and bass producer and the artist behind Santoku Records. His route into electronic music began with metal: he initially used music software to programme drums for songs, then became absorbed in engineering and sound design. Neurofunk offered a connection between those interests and the aggressive tones he already knew from playing guitar.
Working with Hunter and Lee of Legion, he became one third of Legion & Logam. Their first collaboration, House of Cards, grew from a demo exchanged between the producers and reached ProgRAM alongside Solace. Logam added guitar, percussion, and field recordings to a process that combined remote stem exchanges with sessions together in Atlanta.
He also maintained a separate solo direction. Back & Forth, featuring Armanni Reign, brought him to ProgRAM under his own name. Reign wrote the lyrics and title, continuing a partnership that extended to Logam’s live performances. In discussing the record, Logam described an interest in deep, minimal funk alongside the heavier sounds that first drew him towards drum and bass.
