Tech Dreams is the deeper, tech-led alias of German/Australian duo Zombie Cats. The project takes its name from their 2023 album for Dispatch Recordings, which pushed further into spacious, technical drum and bass than comfortably fitted within the main Zombie Cats project. Tech Dreams gives that side of their music a home of its own.
The direction also reconnects with the duo’s earlier work as Rregula & Dementia and the mid-to-late-2000s tech-funk sound that shaped them. Formally introduced in September 2026 with Voices, Tech Dreams pairs that influence with current production, retaining the ghost snares, measured arrangements, and space between elements associated with the period. The single also opened the catalogue for Won't Trend, the duo’s label for releasing music outside the expectations surrounding Zombie Cats.
