Mark Halflite, Danny Fridd, and Soultec founded Sheer Velocity Recordings in London in 2012. Inspired by Speed, Progression Sessions, and Swerve, they built a label around liquid drum and bass, opening with music from Furney and then Dynamic.
Soul Connection, Velocity, Twintone, and Duoscience have also contributed to that soulful direction. The catalogue includes Halcyon / Hikikomori, Bird Theme / Underpass, and Look Around EP by Subsid and Soultec, keeping the founders’ interest in liquid music at the centre of its releases.
