Dave Shichman is a New York City drum and bass producer, DJ and vocalist whose music brings songwriting and live instrumentation into the club. Drawing on more than two decades in the scene, he combines his own vocals, guitar and keys with deep, melodic production.
His catalogue includes releases on Formation, Technique, Fokuz, Four Corners, Soul Deep and Dirtbox, alongside the albums Music Is Where I Can Be and The Cycle Sideways. His approach reflects a lifelong interest in writing and performing, with songs often developing from guitar or keyboard ideas before taking shape as drum and bass.
Beyond his own recordings, Shichman runs Driven AM, bringing together artist management, releases and events in North America. His work as a promoter and mentor sits alongside a DJ career that has taken him across North America and beyond, with sets shaped by the room and the breadth of his musical interests.
His Vibe City debut brings collaborations with Germany’s T:Base and Puerto Rican duo NRV, placing his vocals at the centre of both tracks. He is also curating a New York artists project for Dirtbox’s 100th release celebrations.
