DJ Gaw is a drum and bass producer and DJ whose music moves between jungle and jump-up, with garage and 140 also part of his interests. His beginnings were in rural Dorset, before DJ competitions and trips to Bristol and London brought him further into the scene.
Production followed DJing. Dutchie caught the attention of Nicky Blackmarket and Aries in 2019, helping connect him with Born On Road. Rum & Lime, made with A Little Sound and Selecta J-Man, became another recognisable part of that relationship.
The Hand Sign EP gives a fuller picture of his work for the label. Its five tracks include I Feel and Signal, plus Rasta with Disrupta and Hyper, featuring Joe Burn. The EP brings solo production and collaborations together in the same project.
His later catalogue includes the album Tokyo Nights, remix work on Jungle Style and Soundboy Gone, and the Afterhours EP in 2026. Gaw’s own artist biography describes both making and playing across styles. Jungle and jump-up are clear parts of that story, without needing to put the slower music into a drum and bass category.
