Gerra & Stone are the drum and bass partnership of Harry Gerra and David Stone. The pair attended the same school and found their way into the music through rave tape packs, later studying digital music production at Solent University while DJing around Southampton and the south coast.
Their work developed across contrasting moods rather than a single style. Early releases on Proximity led into a relationship with Dispatch Recordings, while Ison / Vengeance appeared on ProgRAM. The Unbreakable EP brought vocalist Lucy Kitchen and musician Stephen McCleery into their work in 2015.
Their debut album, Polarism, followed on Dispatch in 2017. Built around opposing musical moods, it included guest contributions from Visionobi, Peta Oneir, Jordan Jnr, and McCleery. The duo made the production themselves rather than bringing in other producers, using the guests to expand its vocal and instrumental range. They described the album as an opportunity to explore ideas beyond the scope of their earlier singles and EPs.
