Hystatus is a Belgian–UK drum and bass duo known for their gnarly, high-impact sound and immersive production style. The pair burst onto the scene in 2021 with Another Day (ft. Flower Rising) and Got Ma, released via Axon Records as the label’s tenth release. Distributed across the UK and Belgium, the tracks cemented their reputation with powerful vocals, driving drums, half-time rhythms, and swung hip-hop influences.
Their sound blends cinematic atmospheres with dancefloor energy—Another Day combines beautiful vocal melodies with full-range bass and percussion, while Got Ma offers a chopped, swung rhythmic twist on classic D&B breaks. This release firmly introduced Hystatus as a creative force, delivering both melodic depth and raw rhythmic power.
Active across Belgium and the UK, the duo continues to build on their debut momentum. With future releases on the horizon and a fanbase drawn to their dynamic fusion of vocals, atmosphere, and heavy grooves, Hystatus remain one of the most exciting emerging acts in modern drum and bass.
