Marvel Cinema are a drum and bass duo from Cologne, Germany. Their releases span labels including Fokuz, Soul Deep, Boey Audio, and Galacy, with frequent collaborations forming a substantial part of their catalogue.
For Boey Audio, the duo released the three-track Beneath The Surface EP, which the label introduced in 2018 alongside the free track Peep Show. Another recurring partnership is with Matt View: their Illustrations release on Soul Deep brings joint productions together with a solo Marvel Cinema title track. The label’s account of that track highlights synth writing, warm bass, and vocals, placing melody at the centre of the release.
Marvel Cinema are also part of Deegree Recordings, the Cologne collective established by DJ Basic, Mendax, Matt View, Philo, and the duo. Deegree’s first-anniversary compilation included Matt View and Marvel Cinema’s Parachutes. Their own channel also documents work with Dan Guidance, alongside later tracks featuring Moonaddict, Tomoyoshi, and Kaiza.
