Sully is one of the most distinctive producers working in contemporary breakbeat music. Known for his emotional take on jungle and razor-sharp UK garage productions, he has quietly carved out a space at the intersection of nostalgia and innovation.
Emerging from the grime and garage underground in the late 2000s, Sully first made his mark with deep, melodic 2-step tracks on labels like Keysound and Frijsfo Beats. His 2011 debut album “Carrier” hinted at his versatility, but it was the 2014 EP “Blue” that signalled a return to jungle roots—crafted with warmth, swing and deep attention to rhythm.
Over the past decade, Sully has become a key voice in the modern jungle resurgence. Releases on Astrophonica, Rua Sound, Over/Shadow and Ilian Tape have all showcased his detailed edits, emotional chord work and sense of rave heritage. Tracks like “Flock”, “5ives” and “Swandive” are now essential cuts for DJs bridging past and present.
While his productions often nod to classic '90s jungle, Sully brings a clarity and depth that feel unmistakably modern. He is equally at home in headphones or on a soundsystem, blending technical skill with soul and restraint.
Sully does not chase trends. He builds legacies, one break at a time.
