Behind the music
About T-Man.
T-Man is a Manchester vocalist and MC whose recorded work crosses drum and bass, grime, and dubstep. His baritone delivery is a recognisable part of collaborations at several tempos, with writing and vocal performance at the centre of his contribution.
He founded Meeting Martin in his teens before joining Manchester collective LEVELZ in 2013. His appearances on its LVL 11 mixtape placed him within a group that brought MCs, DJs, and producers together across the city’s underground music. Work with artists including Thelem and Dub Phizix developed alongside that collective activity.
His drum and bass recordings include collaborations with Alix Perez, Kanine, and Enei. A 2022 interview also documented features with Sustance and Operate, alongside tracks at 140 BPM. That movement between tempos has remained part of his recorded identity, rather than a division between separate aliases.
In 2024, he joined S.P.Y on Fever for Hospital Records.
