Behind the music
About Tempza.
Tempza is a London drum and bass MC and vocalist, known for his work with Spearhead, Hospitality and Hybrid Minds. By 2020, he was fronting Hybrid Minds’ live shows alongside singer Charlotte Haining.
In a 2020 interview, he described making more time for writing and a wider creative life. He had begun putting personal experience into his bars and developing Urban Creative, his clothing brand. He described drawing on personal experience to bring more emotion into his lyrics, with plans to record vocals for producers he had previously hosted for.
That studio work includes Polarised with Emba, released by Spearhead in July 2023. Tempza also shares his own recordings, including Scars, For Life and Don’t Be.
