Xtrah is a London drum and bass producer and DJ whose releases have appeared on Critical Music, Metalheadz, Symmetry, RAM, Invisible, and Dispatch. He also runs Cyberfunk, the label he established in 2015 to release music reflecting his own interests in sound design and bass.
His early breakthrough came in 2011, with releases on RAM and an appearance on Goldie’s FabricLive.58. For Critical’s Modulations imprint, he teamed up with MC Codebreaker on Set The Levels, paired with Regain Control. Collaborations elsewhere in his catalogue include work with Noisia, Mefjus, and Break.
Speaking to UKF, Xtrah described learning audio manipulation through close experimentation with his own tools, rather than relying on prescribed production methods. Disturbance became his first full EP for Dispatch, released in 2017 after earlier remix and collaborative appearances. Cyberfunk subsequently issued his five-track New Perspective EP in February 2018, with In The Shadows, Perception, Instinct, and X4M alongside the title track.
