Blaine Stranger is a drum and bass producer from Sydney whose catalogue moves between melodic tracks and heavier club music. Viper Recordings has been a central home for that work, from his early releases with Coppa to later singles such as NEV3R.
His connection with the label began through an exchange: Coppa supplied vocals for Rock With It, and Blaine Stranger worked on a remix in return. The track reached Futurebound, with help from Laurie of Mind Vortex, and was released in 2016. Chat Shit Get Banged appeared on Viper's summer compilation the same year.
In a UKF interview, he described musical interests that were wider than those titles might suggest. The production of Noah '40' Shebib and the feel of 1980s hip-hop interested him alongside much harder electronic music. For Mesmerise / Get Down, those different reference points helped him develop tracks with their own textures and melodic ideas.
His artist biography identifies both rollers and liquid within his output, while Viper's description of NEV3R makes its dancefloor direction explicit. Released in 2023, the single pairs a vocal hook and sweeping melodies with a darker build and substantial bass. It makes a useful companion to the earlier records, showing how the project has developed without settling into a single subgenre.
