Saxxon is a British drum and bass producer whose solo work followed his involvement in Savage Rehab. Based in Norwich when Liondub International introduced his first full-length concept album, he had already built a catalogue across V Recordings, Liquid V, and other outlets. His productions have drawn on jazz, soul, funk, and reggae alongside jungle.
On New Adventures in Modern Jazz, released in 2015, Saxxon worked with trumpeter Jon Scott to bring live jazz playing into liquid drum and bass. The project also featured singer Wednesday Amelia on Talking Jazz, connecting vocal and instrumental performances within the record’s club-focused arrangements.
The 2018 album Action Saxxon - Jungle Odyssey extended his collaborative work, with contributors including Navigator, Blackout JA, T>I, and DJ Limited. He returned to V Recordings with Time Is Right in 2020, featuring Wednesday Amelia, EJ Kitto, and Christina Tamayo. The vocal partnerships continued a thread already present in his earlier jazz-focused releases.
