Drum & Bass Artist Profile, Discography & Events

SD came to drum and bass through rock bands and drumming in Palermo, Italy. Hearing Alex Reece's Pulp Fiction on a Goldie mix cassette helped turn an interest in synthesisers and drum machines into a different musical direction. Releases on Delta9 Recordings, Fokuz Recordings, and Commercial Suicide preceded his album Grand Tour, released by Dispatch Recordings in March 2024.

His range is part of the point. Talking to 1 More Thing about Grand Tour, SD described an album spanning liquid, tech, and jungle, alongside an ambient experiment made with phone recordings. It grew after a spell of lost inspiration, when returning to piano, guitars, and other music helped him begin writing again. Ending Credits was the first piece to emerge.

In a separate conversation with Rendah Mag, he credited Dispatch's Ant TC1 with giving him room to express himself without restrictions. The resulting record lets the styles coexist rather than forcing them into one mould. For Unstoppable, discussions with Quadrant and Iris fed his renewed interest in techstep; Desert Leaves stepped outside drum and bass tempo altogether, with a further techno edit available through Bandcamp.
