Teddy Killerz are the production trio of Anton Mashevsky, Oleg Cholovskyi, and Grigory Cherekaev. Their records connect technically detailed drum and bass with a wider interest in bass music, rather than a single fixed formula. In a 2025 UKF interview, Cherekaev explained that Noisia and Spor had been major early influences, but that the group had never wanted to restrict itself to neurofunk.
An entry in Skrillex's OWSLA remix competition helped bring the project to the label's attention. Their subsequent route into RAM Records passed through its sister imprint ProgRAM and the Big Blow EP. Their debut album Nightmare Street brought their work together in a longer format. The record ranged beyond harder technical material, and their remix of Noisia's Tentacles showed an explicitly jump-up approach.
The second album, COOKED, developed through experiments that sought to combine neurofunk and jump-up. Released through Souped Up Records, it grew from an idea for a 1990s-inspired rave EP into a broader collection. Cherekaev told UKF that the group wanted listeners to hear a sustained change in direction across an album, rather than dismiss a different-sounding single as an isolated experiment. That process also reflected the practical challenge of three collaborators working from different countries.
Their catalogue on Monstercat documents another side of those collaborations: Pump with Pegboard Nerds, Beast with Kompany, and Elevate with The Bloody Beetroots. These credits place the trio's drum and bass work within a wider network of bass-music production.
