From WAH Malta to Mucky: Five September Dates

From WAH Malta to Mucky Weekender, five September dates offer a strong run of drum and bass, jungle, and broader bass culture across Europe.

September has started with one of those calendar collisions that makes staying home feel like a questionable life choice. From a three-day Maltese getaway to a barnstorming little Hampshire weekender, there is plenty about if you fancy getting out before autumn properly settles in.

WAH Malta 2026 is already underway, with more than 100 artists spread across three days of club events, daytime sessions, and boat parties. Shy FX, Wilkinson, Hybrid Minds, Hedex, Kings of the Rollers, Camo & Krooked b2b Mefjus are all in the mix. It is a big one, and the full event listing includes ticket options for anyone making a late run at it.

From 5 to 12 September, SUNANDBASS takes over San Teodoro once again. The Sardinian staple has been doing its own thing since 2004, and that is still the charm. It is not simply a festival placed next to a beach. The location, the pace of the week, and the chance to catch artists outside the usual UK circuit have always been part of what makes it work.

Utrecht gets something rather different on 4 September. Blackout Rewind puts the focus on old-school selections, with Aphrodite, Dillinja, Matrix b2b Optical, Black Sun Empire, Adi-J, and Rayven Lux on the bill. The earlier finish is part of the idea too. No attempt to dress it up as anything other than a proper look back at some serious names and serious records.

Bern is getting a fresh outdoor addition with DROP IT at BERNEXPO on 5 September. Camo & Krooked and Friction headline, but the local end of the bill matters just as much, with Ambassadors, Ele b2b SiLi, Helia b2b Rina, and Foxelles all involved. New festivals live or die on whether they feel like they belong to the place they are landing in. This one looks to have understood that.

Then it is back to Hampshire. Mucky Weekender Festival 2026 runs from 10 to 12 September at Vicarage Farm, with Goldie, Roni Size, DJ Hype, Doc Scott, Micky Finn, MC GQ, Aries, and This Is Inja joining a line-up that also wanders through reggae, breaks, house, and live music. Tickets are available through the event page, and Drum & Bass UK will be there.

We have already covered Mucky’s initial line-up announcement and its later additions. This time, we are heading down to see how it all comes together on site. Keep an eye out for the follow-up after the weekend.
