Wilkinson is the DJ and producer Mark Wilkinson, originally from south-west London. He began by playing drums in bands, then moved towards dance music and production, building a bedroom studio after experimenting with the equipment at college.
An early release on Hospital Records' Sick Music 2 compilation preceded his signing to RAM Records in 2010. His debut album, Lazers Not Included, followed in 2013 and included Afterglow, with vocals from Becky Hill.
His subsequent albums include Hypnotic in 2017 and Cognition in 2022. Between them came Portals, the collaborative album he made with Sub Focus, released in 2020. Working together on a full album placed their production partnership alongside his solo catalogue.
Wilkinson describes writing as a balance between making songs and making music people can rave to. Playing unfinished tracks in DJ sets lets him test the response, but he also wants the melodies, arrangements, and vocals to work in listeners' everyday lives. That practical exchange between studio and crowd informs his approach to dancefloor drum and bass.
His fifth studio album, Infinity, was released through his own Sleepless Music label in March 2026. Developed over three years, it includes work with Camo & Krooked, Mefjus, and Kaskade. The 14-track record includes vocal contributions from Emily Makis, Julia Church, and ILIRA.
